Guided by an artificial search dog,we follow the route of Operation Columbia,a ten mile motorcade of grey vehicles, moving from Los Angeles to Vancouver in 1947, promoting the ideas of Technocracy Inc.
The movement of 500.000 was to turn the North American continent into a proto-internet-society, based on technology, degrowth and equal distribution of energy, among energy consuming devices.
Following their journey, we encircle data centers, cableships and corporate headquarters of all major internet companies.
We deep dive into the infrastructures of the worldwideweb, encounter pioneers, natives, users and finally end up in the dusty archive of Technocracy Inc. saving all we can carry from its imminent destruction.
While the movement itself soon fell into oblivion, an internet eventually did emerge in the stretch of land, encircled by the Technocrats.
